If you have already been robbed you are probably getting very frustrated about having to pay for all the repairs being robbed costs you. 1) Make sure your mafia size is at least equal to your level. The number of mafia members you have can actually help you not get robbed. If you are on level 60 then you should have at least 60 members in your mafia. If you have less mafia members then your current level you are putting a target on your back.

2) Make sure your mafia is prepared. You and your mafia members are only as strong as the armor and weapons you give them. You better make sure that your mafia members have good armor, weapons and vehicles to use. You shouldn’t be buying properties if you don’t have money to fully equip your mafia since you won’t be able to protect your investment.

3) Level Up. A lot of people want to level up to get more points in their defense or get more mafia members. But another solid reason that is often over looked is to level up early so that your properties get attacked less. This is because players at higher level do not rob as often, if at all as players from lower levels. Robbing is not worth the stamina you lose, you want to get the most out of your stamina. You get more experience with fighting. You also get a chance to get the best weapons, job items and vehicles that players at higher levels need. For example “Boss” jobs have way better pay outs then robbing a casino. Again make sure you are able to keep your mafia size equal to your level. If you can’t do this only buy Mafia Mike’s property until you get up to approximately level 150. Remember players in lower levels rob a lot more than players in higher levels.

4) Don’t Rob. Higher level players usually only rob to seek revenge and to make sure other players learn their lesson not to mess with them. So therefore, don’t get on another players bad side and you are less likely to get robbed yourself.

5) Fight and Win. Other players can’t see your defense ratings so this is not going to be a deterrent. You have to build up an awesome win to loss ratio on fights. You are not going to rob someone if you know that they have won 12 000 fights and only lost 2000. If someone has lost a lot more than they have won then they are an easy target.

3) Check out the numbers of wins and losses of your potential opponent. You have a better chance of winning if they have a greater loss to win ratio.

4) Check out your potential opponent’s weapons arsenal before engaging in a Mafia Wars fight. Do not attack them if they have weapons that are more powerful than yours, or if they have a large number of strong weapons.

5) Check out the other member’s properties, this will give you a good picture of the amount of money they have and what they can be robbed of. Although gaining money from attacks is good it is not always essential. You can earn experience points at a good rate without wasting energy. After you attack another member and you lose the fight, don’t fight them again, go try and fight someone else. When you win a Mafia Wars fight against another member take advantage and fight them again and again until you lose the fight or no longer have the stamina to fight.

6) It is a good idea to make an attack list of players that you have won fights against. Then you can go back and fight them later and probably win again. Copy link location of the player by right clicking on their name. Be careful though because any player at anytime can seek revenge if they desire.

Using your profile point can increase your strength of attack and defence thus helping you with fights.

Some quick things to remember before entering into a Mafia Wars fight.  You can increase your odds of winning a fight by increasing your Mafia size, ensuring your mafia is stocked up on the best equipment and put some stat points in ‘Attack”.  You could also spend Godfather points on stats to add to attack if you wanted.  Remember though that you will never win 100 percent of fights, opponents who are Top Mafia bodyguards will always have a chance to win on defence and it is also possible that a critical hit could make you lose a fight, although critical hits do you happen frequently.

• Primary benefit: Gets the 60 minute every 54 minutes
• Top Mafia Spot: Bagman
• Intermittent power:    You have a chance to earn double the money on a certain percentage of jobs when you occupy the Bagman spot in another person’s mafia

2.  Maniac Character:

• Primary benefit: Energy rebuilds at one point every three minutes, rather than one point every five minutes
• Top Mafia position:    Button Man
• Come and go power:    When a maniac occupies the Button Man sport in another person’s crew you can attack a Mafia Wars person with superior stats, mafia size, weapons, armor and vehicles and have a chance to win the fight regardless

3.  Fearless Character:

• Major benefit: Health returns faster, one point every two minutes as opposed to one every three.
• Top Mafia position: Wheel Man
• Unique Power:    As Wheel Man in someone else’s mafia, a Fearless character will be able to complete some jobs without putting out any energy
